Ticketmaster

If you have a Ticketmaster account (if you’ve ever bought tickets from them online, you do), log in and check it. As part of a settlement over ticket fees or something, they are depositing ticket vouchers in customers’ accounts, along with a corresponding number of $2.25 discount codes.

I got seven pairs of tickets, plus seven of those discount codes. Show options you can use the tickets for are somewhat limited but there are some good ones.

The $2.25 is quickly wiped out by their service charge.

I have a bunch of the vouchers, but there aren’t any shows anywhere near me and the shows within a 4 hour drive are crap. If anyone has a show near them and wants a couple of voucher codes, PM me and I’ll gladly give a couple away. I’m going to hold onto a few in case they expand the available shows.

Ticketmaster couldn’t have written a better settlement offer for themselves. I almost feel more screwed now after the settlement than I did by their 25%+ service fees.

I guess it is US only, nothing on my ticketmaster.ca account.

Yeah it’s slim pickings for sure. The wife is less excited than I am about going to see Slipknot.

I ended up with 17 pairs of tickets and 17 $2.25 vouchers

Currently all the voucher eligible shows in my area are out of free tickets. I’ll have to keep checking the list to see what shows up.

Slipknot’s a good show. I think I’m out of town that day.

Any chance I’ll see you at 311 on the 22nd? Come to think of it, I’m not sure I’d want to. You might punch me for something I said here.

I was kidding about Slipknot

I didn’t even notice the 311 show… even if we did bump into each other, what happens in the LR stays in the LR. I suspect you’d be OK to have a pint or three with in the real world.

Well Slipknot DOES put on a good show! =)

Yes, the LR is the octagon, no holds barred. Everywhere else we behave like gentlemen!
