Three quick questions about the 2015 Cervelo S5

I’m eyeing a new S5 and I had three quick questions:

  1. What sort of tire clearance is in the rear?
  2. How much room is there in price on a frameset?
  3. How do you think the S5 would fare in the capacity of a tri bike? I know it’s slippery but will it handle well?

  1. Easily fit a 25mm and I have fit a narrow 28mm tire.
  2. No idea, depends on your relationship with your LBS. 10-20% off retail would be my guess.
  3. It will handle great! Depends on how you setup your clip on aerobars and how steep you decide to set it up as.

It’s very slippery and a great option as a Tri bike but make sure you get the 2 position seat post so you can slide the seat forward.
