Considering going to Montreal for a weekend in the summer. No kids. Just the wife and I.
Looking for things to do/places to eat.

I’ve heard the strip clubs are off the hook
Check to see what festivals are going on that weekend.
The botanical gardens are cool.
The olympic park across the street is cool. Biodome is better with kids, but is kinda cool if you like zoos.
The entirety of Ile St Helene/Parc Jean-Drapeau and Ile Notre Dame is pretty cool with the biosphere and the F1 course and kayaking/rowing on the olympic rowing basin.
There’s some cool burlesque shows. The Wiggle Room on St Laurent was pretty good.
There’s also the closest Decathlons and David’s Tea stores to me now.
We had an amazing seven course tasting menu here.
A must. True Montreal smoked meat stacked high on thin rye bread.
Seconding Schwartz’s but split a sandwich.
Do the stairs up Mount Royal (kids do it, it’s not that hard) to the lookout and take that pic of the Montreal skyline that you see everywhere. There’s nice hiking at the top as well; it’s a decent walk.
If it rains the art gallery is nice.
Had a good evening here: Upstairs Jazz Bar & Grill - Tasty Food and Live Music
Walking through Old Montreal is nice. There’s a good museum with the history of the City down there, too.
Chocolate chip bagel from Fairmont is a must as well. There’s a hint of orange to it. Unpopular opinion, but St. Viateur bagel is for tourists.
Are you interested in art? The contemporary art museum was interesting. Home – MAC Montréal
Inuit art galleries or exhibitions there ^ or elsewhere.
x2 on summer festivals
Walk through Old Montreal
Walk through underground Montreal
I don’t know why I recall Asian and Asian-fusion restaurants as being a thing? We liked Chinatown and also got shrimp-curry-poutine somewhere.
I am certain the wife does not intend to visit any of them.
Schwartz’s deli is on the list. I knew there was a really good deli but couldn’t remember the name.
Also planning on going to La Banquise for poutine.
