The worst idea for Triathletes?

Are farmer carries the worst exercise for triathlon training?
-Slow pace
-Build bulk, forearm weight increases exponentially.
-Are they even in a zone?

Anyway – I love them so much because they are like a walk with fitness in it but they seem like the antithesis of triathlon training. Any help or advice to cease all farmer activity or modify this exercise?

no. you only build bulk if you eat more than you expend

Very generally any training will be more beneficial than not training until it begins to negatively affect more specific training.

If farmer walks are leaving you so sure that you can’t run the next day then they’re a net negative. If you’re adding them onto only 3h/w of training they’re almost certainly a net positive.

But if you’re not making a living from tri results and you like doing them then it seems kinda silly to stop for a possible marginal gain.

I feel like I knew this once  A good reminder. Thanks, all for the advice. The dumbbells stay in the trunk and the winter outdoor walks recommence.
