The wall?

I did IMC last year. It was my first and I messed up the pacing on the bike and spent way too much time walking the run.

I am doing whistler and am going to do much better I hope.

I have run 6 or so open marathons. I know when I am going to hit th wall.

With the ironman marathon the pace is considerably slower than for an open but you are not starting with a full tank either…

When do you hit the wall in your IM marathons if at all?

Drink coke until the finish.

If its really bad and you got a solid 10mi to go, you can also treat the nearest aid station as an all you can eat buffet which will get you back in a gear that’ll let you finish strong (though that next mile or two may feel bad).

Usaually about 28-32 km mark of the run, but if I’m not very fit, more likely 25km
