My three pairs (despite heavy rotation) of Sporthill compression shorts are on their way out, after years of solid service. I wore these for the majority of my runs.
I recall reading that some ST’rs wear DeSoto power shorts for all workouts, that is cycling and running. Is the pad that versatile and comfortable for regular run training?
All advice welcomed. Thanks.
Craft race shorts have a great pad. Like a thinner version of the Assos-style “elastic” chamois, so nice for biking and running. Much better than the standard “fleece” pad you normally get with tri gear.
“Nice” enough that you would wear them for a standalone run workout?
I usually run (long, intervals, ez) with my Desoto’s Power shorts and love them. No problem at all. I also wear them for IM.
Cool. That’s exactly what I was soliciting. I will have to give them a try.
It’s interesting as I don’t recall anyone ever making a similar statement relative other brands.
Tough to say. I have VERY narrow hips, so I prefer the thinner pad of my LG/Orca shorts when I run. BUT, I would wear the Craft shorts and be happy.
