The new P4 Carbon

the fork looks like the one from the older P2K
.

This is absolutely, 100% correct. You are absolutely right.

Also, we literally aren’t seeing *all *the picture. Wait until tomorrow… It will be worth it.

So from the picture I would think that they have actually used the following designs somehow in the new design of the frame. Might not be exactly these but I would guess that they are very close to these ideas.

This could be placed in the cut out section on the seat tube.

With no visible brake on the bike, I would guess that they have incorporated this idea somehow in to the new bike.

Any thoughts. So is anyone that is in the know going to post anything before the show tomorrow. Any hints.

that would be pretty awesome if its got routing for a drinking tube.

That’s a fine cat, but I don’t get it.

so this comment maybe right up there with the dumbest race q’s of all time, but we are all 100% sure the p4 is being announced tomorrow?

Truthfully I hope we don’t see that as they are difficult to keep clean.

Glad to know I’m not alone, Tom. I’m scratching my head too. Maybe we’re getting old?!?!

Agreed. I can see the fungus growing inside that dark tubing already

That certainly doesn’t look 20% better then a P3, but I guess we’ll have to wait to see the official photos (and data)
.

Now 20% is just the bike in the windtunnel all by itself compared to the P3C I would guess. How does this translate with a rider on board since every rider is shaped differently. I would guess that it would depend on wheels as well right.

Isn’t that what Activia is? -)

Probably pretty much “straight up”, at least in absolute terms. IOW, there really isn’t a lot of evidence of significant bike-rider interaction effects, with the possible exception of the Trimble.

Perhaps the 20% comes from an integrated bike box?

Went for the annual fall big MTB ride of the year last weekend. Grabbed the Camelback that has been sitting since last year’s big fall ride.

When I picked it up I could feel that there was still liquid in there.

Blackness everywhere. It was disgusting just pulling it out, draining it and throwing it away.

Grabbed the wife’s bladder and headed out.

I say replace them bladders every 12 years whether they need it or not.

Not anymore.

Yes, Yes, Yes.

It is fun poking around on the Patent site when you search for Cervelo items.

Boy, I really hope this is not the P4, if it is, then Felt and others have nothing to worry about…

Actually, if Gerard and Phil indeed achieved their goal of a 20% reduction in drag, then I’d say that Felt and others have a lot to worry about, or at least a lot of catching up to do. To translate that percentage into time savings, it would make somebody on a P4 approximately 1 min faster over 40 km than the same rider on a P3C, all else being equal.
