Is that really it? So it is a P3, with a strange cutout on the down tube and a rear brake position that copies Felt?
I am sure it is the new P4. It’s C. Soeder from Team cervelo-lifeforce, picture taken yesterday in Varese (ITA).
Hmmm.
More please.
What fork is that? It doesn’t seem to be the normal 3T Funda.
THe cutout on the downtube is reminiscent of that on the Specialized transition, seems a strange place to make so big a change as I would imagine it is a very dirty are with turbulence from the feet.
It’s ridiculously unsexy.
looks like the same chainstays as the new S3, they look wider than tall. perhaps the downtube cutout is for a water-bottle?
One of the rumors floating around is that the P4 would have an integrated water bottle in the bottom bracket area, so you’re probably right. When the bottle is in place the cutout would be filled.
Huh, interesting.
I think it is very introguing to see how various manufacturers deal with the max downtube width issue by building in special features like an integrated water bottle to make the BB shell one larger fairing. The only problem with this is that (a) it still only allows one bottle and (b) forces you to use their bottle, at least in the beginning.

That does look like the Funda to me … just with Cervelo on it instead of 3T. Not sure, though.
.
niiiice.
i’m now glad i didn’t buy a tt bike this summer
any more pictures?
any more pictures?
There must be more pictures from Varese.
Or how many hours till Interbikes opens?
Looks a helluva lot like a P3C with a few bells and whistles. ::yawn::

Well, let’s see: sponsored rider on prototype that looks precisely as you’d expect based on the Cervelo patent applications and the info leaked by one of the triathlon magazines. Yup, gotta be at least a P3.5, if not the P4…
This would be what happens when the designs are purely function driven, and comply with UCI rules…

Best looking paint job Cervelo’s had in a long time…
You nailed it on the head. I was really hoping for a non-UCI legal frame.
I ride a zipp 2001 though so I guess this yawner of a P4 means my bike is still the faster than the latest cervelo!
It would be fun to see Cervelo go all out on a whacky non UCI frame.
