After too many long solo rides on 9W and too many coincidental sightings of the mystery woman rider , I have to ask: does anyone know the story?
She wears strange exotic kit and there is always a flowing scarf involved. Sometimes everything is white. Sometimes there are green polka dots.
I swear once there were tiger stripes.
She rides alone and is always heading south when I am going north. Almost always on Sunday.
What gives?

How dehydrated are you usually at the time of the sightings?

The flowing scarf pretty much rules out ST. That has to be a waste of watts.

yeah, i recall seeing her as well when i lived in NYC. her strange hat (no helmet) and the scarf really stands out when everyone else is wearing lycra.

I’ve seen her a couple of times. Definitely tiger stripes, potentially leopard print too. I think her bike weighs more than she does.

why wouldn’t you ride on 9W? btwn Piermont and the GWB, you get really wide shoulders and great road surface. Further up, you take 9W to get to Bear Mountain. I wish DC had a road like 9W
