The Mass Deportations

Trump wants to deport 15 to 20 million people.

Trump will most definitely keep his promise, so when will this start? January 2025 ?

How will this be done? Who / what agency will be doing the operation? What will be the logistics? Buses? Aircraft? Train cattle cars? Ships? For context, 20 million people is about 50,000 fully loaded 747s or about 400,000 fully loaded Greyhound buses.

Since when does Trump actually get anything done? I’m still waiting on the wall…

There will be a symbolic effort followed by many months of excuses of why the Democrats are ruining his great deportation.

The play book isn’t hard to understand.

It probably starts the end of January but the focus will be mostly on convicted criminals and folks that slipped through the border with bad criminal records. No telling how long it will take.

Well, at least he will pardon all the criminals that attacked the police officers at the Capitol. You think that he will at least follow through on that?

I expect that all of those big business owners who donated to him will tell him not to export them because they can’t afford to lose the workers. His mass deportations will go the way of “Mexico will pay for the wall”, and his supporters simply won’t care because he owned the libs. They will make excuses for why he didn’t follow up on it just like they did with the wall and Mexico paying for it.

Trump is great at marketing to a targeted group. I think you’re correct, this was just more Trump marketing/propoganda

He won’t be deporting 20 million people and everyone probably knows that and didn’t think he ever would. Much like Mexico paying for the wall. I do think he will have a focused deportation plan for criminals that came across the border. He will reinstate wait in Mexico for asylum seekers as well.

He won’t be telling companies they have to lose all their laborers in the fields of Texas and California.

So all of these people who believe the dumba$$ that unfortunately got elected yesterday–are you going to pick fruit, vegetables, dig ditches, clean houses and hotel rooms, work at 7-11, clean up trash? I don’t think he will be deporting 20 million people but I think people are so stupid now that they believe him…It’s so sad that American’s are so dumb. I think they should definitely get rid of the criminally minded immigrants.

Can you imagine loosing 6% of the population at the drop of a hat? Only half of which are actually here illegally. Particularly when many of that group are in the work force? There will be places that look like a ghost town.

Are there any numbers on the inflationary impacts of removing 100% of the illegal immigrants un the US?

His tariffs will more than make up for the loss of labor, services and spending of those people. It will be fantastic

6% of the population is not going anywhere. This was a political race. No one really thought he was going to deport all the fruit pickers. He may start with the criminally dangerous immigrants and that would be a good thing.

I don’t believe that, not even one bit. I think a large portion of the base don’t under stand how much tax is paid by illegal immigrants, or how much cheap labor keeps goods cheap. Increasing the labor rate by 10% is going to add 13% to the final sale price, by in large I don’t think people who voted this way understand the compounding of percentages.

In 2022 illegal immigrants paid nearly $100 billion in total taxes…

Do you really think this wasn’t always going on or is easy and obvious to do?

It won’t be on his first day, for sure - that’s when he’s ending the war in Ukraine (or is it the Israel/Palestine conflict? Tough to keep up)

His base really thinks he will do it. They are giddy with the prospect of millions of brown people being expelled from the country.

In 2016 he campaigned on removing 11M. Didn’t happen. Same thing here.

The focus is already on deporting criminals and folks seen as a danger to society. During Biden’s term roughly 1 million were deported. 60 Minutes did a segment on this - the time and cost to track apprehend and deport 1 single individual.

It sort of begs the question of what Trump will do once he is in office. He is not longer accountable to his base. He can ignore anything he promised on the campaign trail so what does he actually try to accomplish?

Stay out of jail for starters.

Who knows? But finding 50,000 B-747s to rent won’t be easy.
