This is way more entertaining than the Floyd Landis story. Now, a Nike employee is being implicated in an assault on the massage therapist in June at the US Track Championships.
Anybody know what the “lifetime” in the body of testosterone delivered by cream is? That is, how long after it comes in contact with the skin is it still detectable?
Seems to me that if the massage therapist did deliver a dose in this way, he also got a dose himself so testing him for testosterone is a way of testing the claim made against him.
This is a perfect example of why I’m happy to not be directly involved with track and field anymore. While this story is certainly weird it’s not anything out of the ordinary. Personally (and speaking only for myself) I never liked Trevor Graham. From the first meeting I had with him, Tim Montgomery and Shawn Crawford, I knew he wasn’t right. I’ll reserve comment on the Nike employee beating up a Nike consultant in front of the meet hotel at US Nationals…just strange, and I’m sure we’ll never hear the whole story.
