I’ve been shaving my legs for several years now. I’ve mastered the art of shaving without scraping, seriously knicking, or getting razor burn. I still get those annoying little “no-bleeders” from time to time, but I can live with those.
My quest as of late, has been to tryand find a faster way to do it. My schedule is tight, and I don’t really have the time, patience, or shaving cream to clean my legs up everyday (or even every other day.) So I had the bright idea, lets try some of those razor-less shaving systems.
1st up. Nads waxing do hickies. $30.00 at Walgreens. Okay, skip that one.
Veet. $7.50, okay I can swing that.
I got home and gave it a whirl. As a process, you almost don’t even feel it working. It smells like ass, literally, but it doesn’t hurt you legs. four minutes later, time to rub it off. I tried using the goofy bladeless razor they give you; it wasn’t doing much, so I jumped in the shower, and rinsed all of the cream off. I then rubbed alomst all of the hair off just using a bath towel. Seemed to work well enough. The first problem with it is that you can’t apply lotion, go swimming, or expose it to serious sunlight for 24 hours. That didn’t make me happy, but I figured I couldl live with it. Next day (yesterday). I’ve got leg stuble already. I go swimming and everything is fine, but my legs aren’t smooth.
Today, it’s a pain in the ass literally, I guess I took some hair off my posterior, becasue with the stuble the way it is, sitting is less than comfortable.
I thought it was supposed to take the hair out. Wrong, it simply takes the hair off. It’s not really any faster than shaving, the results aren’t any different, plus you can’t go swimming that day.
I’m looking for something longer lasting. I’m not really interested in dedicating the time it would take to make my hair long enough to wax. So I guess it’s back to the shaving section.

uuuuummmmm…huh…sorry, i"ve got nothin’
You may need to wax. But, you are impatient, so why not try an epilator? They hurt like wax (if you are into that sort of thing) but you yank the hairs out yourself at home with this nifty little doodad:
Braun Silk-épil Soft Perfection Women's Epilator

Remove unwanted hair quickly and easily with this Braun epilator for legs that are soft, sassy and smooth to the touch. Lasts up to four weeks.
There was a Canadian company several years ago that was marketing some stuff you sprayed on your legs after shaving that caused a process called “cornification” (if memory serves) – in essence it went into the hair folicle and caused it to stop growing eventually. Or at last go to “peach fuzz”.
Don’t know if the company is still in existence, and no, I don’t have any experience with the product to know if it really works, but it might be worth a try.
Oh yeah, you can get lotion at the drugstore that is supposed to make your hair grow back slower and softer. I haven’t tried it, but my sister says it works. A few brands have it, like Dove and all the regular ones chicks use. You should look for that stuff. Then we won’t have to wax together.
“Have to” ???
I thought it was Get To.
“… soft, sassy and smooth …”
Yeah, that’s what we’re looking for.
