At first I thought getting a good deal stocking up in Gu deal through The Clymb was going to be good.
I was sadly mistaken.
Decent pricing watered down by pricey shipping along with “delays” in warehouse stocking has proved to not turn out to be the deal I thought.
Although they did credit me shipping after 2 complaints, shipping time at 7+ days (making it nearly a month after original order) has made the shopping experience pretty lame.
same here in the shipping/delay. i haven’t really cared b/c i don’t need any right now. i’m fairly well stocked. but if i was wanting them quickly, i’d be pissed.
maybe i’ll email them and try to get free shipping. with this experience, i may not buy from them again.

Hmmm…I’ve ordered a couple of things through them (including some Bont shoes) and I recall that during the checkout process they give you an estimate of the shipping time which is typically longer than what most folks are used to…but, I guess that’s part of the deal (i.e. part of why the prices are lower). IIRC, they warn you of this also (the longer ship times) during checkout.
Are you saying that the shipping took significantly longer than what they had originally stated?
The shipping does take a while but they did state it upfront to me. They also sent me the wrong size but after a few emails they sorted it out. You just have to make sure you add in the shipping charge (about 7 bucks) to see if you are getting a good deal.
The delay in the Gu order has been disappointing, but is not enough to keep me from doing business with them in the future. I ordered a 2XU wetsuit from them a while back. The price was excellent and the service was prompt.

Sometimes there is a delay in the brands sending us product. We did send out an email to everyone that was impacted by the delay when we saw that there were going to be delivery issues. We don’t like disappointing our customers and we don’t like when delays happen, but on occasion they do.
We continue to improve our processes and how we work with our vendors to make sure that these issues are few and far between.

do you have any idea if the orders which were requested cancelled were cancelled? When I got my email about further delays in shipping I requested the order cancelled as it wouldn’t reach my mule in time (I don’t live in the US and rely on visitors to bring stuff down). I never heard anything back and have no idea as to the order status. My order was for chomps.

This is the opposite of the experience I’ve had with them. Glad kevin responded to this. I’ve always had great service…even when things go wrong they’re solved quickly.
