The battery on my Specialized cyclometer died

…and Specialized.com doesn’t sell the batteries. Is it just like a normal watch battery that I can buy in a store? I have the model number.

Although I have enjoyed riding with no data to worry about, I would like to get it working again so I don’t have to manually track the distance .

TIA

Being that you didn’t specify which computer you actually had, no one knows the answer. It’s easy to unscrew the back and head to a jewler to get a new battery though. Most are regular watch batteries, but they vary in size so take the old one with you or write down the number. Don’t ask for the standard battery, as there is not one.

I just took my old one out and took it to wal-mart/target which ever store and picked up a replacement (matched battery model number)and popped it back in. Works good as new. Mine is the Specialized Pro that is 3 yrs old.

I believe the old Speedzones used the CR2032. If that’s the case, you can buy 10 on Ebay for about $5.

okay, rookie mistake, sorry.

It’s a 2005 Specialized Turbo Elite.

Nothing to be sorry about. We all have to start somewhere.

Now quit chatttin and go ride!
