Thanks TRAVELOCITY CRD

Hi All,

to follow up on the travelocity thread, I had an email (and a phone call at home but I wasn’t there) from the consumer relation department, that said that they would refund the plane ticket (except the fees for sending it).
I also received condolences for my father’s wife passing away.
So, I can now use freely their service as there is someone to talk to in case of a problem.

That is great news, good job in staying on them. I hope this ameliorates the frustration of not being in NZ this past weekend. And I hope you’re feeling better!

Leigh

Awesome! Must feel good to have resolution.

And once again, sorry about your father inlaw.

stones are gone (last one flushed after IMNZ so nothing to regret about no going, I’d rather leave TDB be the only one passing a stone on TV  )
ticket getting reimbursed…back in training today.

Awesome news, my man! 3 for 3. If I ever run into trouble with Travelocity, I’ll know who to ask for contact info.

What finally got them to give in and pay you back?

I guess it’s the processing time to reach the person who has the decisional power…also they did check the activity on the log page which showed “some activity” for insurance fees…so maybe it was just a bug in their system as I thought it was.
Anyhow, I now know that in the event you get an insurance, you get a separate email stating this.

bump up.

criticizing when deserved but thanked when they do the right thing.

I am glad you got your money back Francois. Now, when are you finally going to have a successful IM? I was looking forward to following your progress in IMNZ. What is up to bat next?

I will have a successful IM when I get a chance to get on the start line, healthy, in a good mindset, with nothing that breaks down on the bike.
June 26th.

Well done Francois, it’s been a long time coming, and some considerable angst given the comments their staff gave. Let’s hope that this will bring about changes in Travelocity’s customer service and save the same thing happening to someone with less resolve.

Good to hear that you have passed the stones and you are back in the saddle.
