Must admit, haven’t listened to it for several years, but it was a regular podcast of mine for many, many years; thanks for the good times John & Bevan! Kia Kaha!!!
Its been an absolute must for me for years now, I could listen to these two banter and gossip over triathlon for hours, gutted they’ve decided to call it a day.
I was early money on them back around 2006-2007! Love those guys, got to be “Age Grouper of the Week” around 2007 or '08! I have drifted away over the past year or so, only since the show had a lot of Bevan talking about his individual content but they were the OG’s in the space.
Such an amazing podcast, I’ve listened since day one and still listen now. They’ll be missed for sure. What dedication on their part to keep it going for as long as they have. Can’t believe it has been almost 20 years, I must be getting old. I remember having to stop mid ride once because I was laughing so hard about them doing a bit about pooing on the bike, so funny.
I had the same experience during the blender challenge bit. Re-hearing during today’s pod made me giggle all over again. Such great banter between them!
Huge thanks to Bevan and John. They provided entertaining content back when there was nothing, think i started listening around 08/09. Interesting to hear them say in the last pod they knew they needed to evolve but didnt have the time/motivation. Ive listened to the odd one recently and it was pretty obvious Bevan doesnt follow the sport at all and johns not super motivated. Not blaming them after after 20 years of grinding tho. I wonder if Johns opportiunity is co-hosting fitter radio.
I have been listening IM Talk since episode 3. It has been informing me, entertaining me, educating me and motivating me for 19 years.
John and Bevan feel like old mates.
