Tethered swimming options

With no end in sight to COVID restrictions I am looking for something to allow me to do tethered swimming in our 5.5m x 3.5m pool.

Have looked in the usual places but options are limited and tbh look cheap/poor quality.

Can anyone recommend good ankle tether for swimming please?

It’s a waist belt attached to a flexible type of fishing pole that clamps onto a pool ladder or bannister. From Superswim.com

Early in the pandemic, when swimmers in our masters group were Jonesing to get into the water, any water, several would book a few hours per week on my backyard swim tether and seemed to get very good workouts.

Thx that looks really good. Unfortunately, due to COVID logistic issues they aren’t shipping to Europe anytime soon.

This virus can just do one now.

I’ve had good luck with a 6’ (2m) surf leash (mainly use it for travel; swimming in tiny hotel pools). It’s worked better for me than the waist-based leashes. I do find it helps to use a pull buoy, otherwise the lack of water flow causes my legs to sink big time. Probably the one useful tip I’ve picked up from GTN.

I bought a pair of zoomers (short fins), drilled a hole in them about an inch from the ends, and inserted caribiner clips attached to bungee cords, which I then attached to a ladder in our 20x40 pool. There is no tether attached to your body which is more comfortable IMO.

I can’t take credit for the idea - I found it on youtube but just searched and couldn’t find it
