I just got a new camera this is a test post. Evidently I need to set the image size smaller…oops!
That is not a camera issue–it is a Image Size issue in the software you are using to “process” the image–there should be a “Resize” option somewhere–always do that with a copy though, so you keep your original.
Also, you may want to turn off the “Date” option in the lower left–that is done through your cell phone via E-mail.
Lets try this:
Monk thanks for the tips, I will turn the date off. I did drop image size on the camera and it seems to have worked i will try the resize with the software also. I’ve had the camera an hour so I am still fiddling.
btw: this is Big Kitty’s favorite spot, making love to the heater.
Very pretty cat.
Yeah, nice pussy.
What camera is it? Why drop image size in the camera? Does this reduce the pixel count? I always go for all the pixels I can get.
The first picture looked kind of pixelated–don’t know if that is the right word–what I would call grainy in a film camera. Sorry I didn’t give anything useful (or correct).
Do you do customer service for PowerBar?
Yes that is me.
So who do I have to talk to about getting some free ones?
Be great, look fast.
Monk it is this camera:

Not hugely expensive or technical. Actually come to think of it you are one of the reasons I was searching for a new one. I liked the pictures you took during your IM race. So one of my criteria was it must fit easily into a jersey pocket. I would like to shoot some pictures during longer races this season.
I can change image size and quaility on the camera. First shot was largest size and low quaility. I changed the size and upped the quality and the graininess went away. The first picture was grainy due to image quaility selected not size.
Testing the zoom both, pictures shot from the same place you can see the dock from the first pic low in the frame of the second.
I still haven’t figured out how to turn the time stamp off.
Anyone can seek Powerbar Sponsorship via www.powerbar.com look up Team Elite and take your best shot at their online application. It is typically a two year deal and you get $500 per year in free product and gear.
We want people who will influence the purchase decision of other athletes/consumers. It is fun to be part of the brand. We are about to launch a new item called “Triple Threat” which is an answer to better taste to compete with Snickers Marathon. Lets face it they are candy bars masqarading as energy bars but darn they taste great.
Good luck.
What is that white stuff on the ground in front of that lovely building? Oh yeah snow, something we don’t have do deal with luckily here in Southern CA. Actually, I saw some about 20 miles away on a mountain top on my trail run this a.m.
Where is the photo taken?
Well you have higher resolution with 3MP that I did–I had 2.2MP. Keep in mind that you have both an optical zoom and a digital zoom, unless I am wrong, as usual, you will get you max pixels with the optical, but when it moves into digital zoom, I believe you are just losing pixels, i.e. the graininess will come back.
I you are going to race with it, make sure a) you keep it in a baggie, 2) you are real familiar with the controls, and iii) it does not BOUNCE UP AND DOWN when you run–and different shirts react differently. So test it in your race day ensemble.

Will do. Thanks for the advice. I already realized that my favorite Cervelo jersey’s pockets are too big for this camera. Fits well in my BikeSport one though.
Layy–he wants to get off and run, I think.
