My wife just picked up a new Slice 5 at the LBS at a very nice price.
I have a Profile Ozero basebar I’ll put on to get rid of the C3 bullhorns and I also have a set of Shimano 105 (5700) brakes; is it worth using changing out the Tektro R520 anchors for the 105’s? I don’t have any experience with them (the Tektros) so I wasn’t sure if it’s worth it
Both of those brakes are pretty similar, so you may have to make the call on aesthetics - which caliper looks the best? Definitely change the stock brake pads on the Tektros - you could even swap in the pads from the 105s. This will make a huge difference.
the tektro seem solid enough and astetically they’re similar so i reckon they’ll stay, with the exception of the pads, as per your advice. cheers
