TDF elbow to face

I saved the TDF so I can watch it while on the trainer. Noticed this a little while ago.

Now I feel sick. I noticed there are some other instances of this clip:

The consensus so far seems to be that an unprovoked assault is funny, and that the victim should be arrested. Someone please tell me they were just trolling.

running along the riders like that endangers the life of the riders and endangers the race, it is idiotic, stupid, and the fan that took him out did a service to the world.

here is another great service to the world being done:

That’s exactly the clip I was thinking of when I saw the OP.

Brutal enough that I actually felt bad for the guy that got tripped.

I can’t help but interpret that as “2 wrongs make a right”. Is that correct?

FWIW I do agree that the fans should not run on to the course like that, what are they, gorillas?

Sometimes it may a gorilla, but more often than not it’s just an unshaven French woman.

Far more likely he ran into somebody who was clapping and hit their elbow. That’s what you get when you’re running less than 6 inches from a crowd that’s gonna start clapping as soon as the riders come thru.

While I agree that fans running alongside the riders is dangerous to the riders, having some dude knocked onto the ground is probably more dangerous to the riders.

Jeez, how many spectators do you accidentally run into? And have you tried clapping with your elbows out like that? Try it and see how intelligent you look.

There are a few people here who deserve much the same treatment…

… for being so ambiguous ?

For being malicious internet bullies…

I’m talking about ST in general and not this thread…

I also don’t run 6 inches away from spectators. And it’s pretty normal - if you raise your arms to clap, you put your hands and elbows out in FRONT. Someone running that close coming out of nowhere is gonna get clocked for sure.

I could watch clips like these on this thread all day… can’t stand the idiots who think they need to run alongside the riders. They are asking for whatever bad shit happens to them by making shitty choices…

The only person I would want to run along side me is some guy with horns, a red pitchfork and a cape like this one:

.

Saw that on SC. My immediate thought was: What if he had fallen into the cyclist?

I’m going to hell for laughing very hard at that clip. Over and over again.

Damn, I look good in tights.

Nope, I want to be paced up that hill by naked college cheerleaders (female would be my preference) who would all catch me when I fell over and then lay at the side of the road with them for an hour or so, recovering.
