Thought it’d be fun to have a thread about the bikes at The Tour this year. The time trial bikes always seem to be the most interesting since there are a lot of components (frame, wheels, aerobars, etc). Here is a link to a number of good shots from of time trial bikes on cyclingtips.com
A few thoughts after looking through
- A few bikes had interesting Di2 shifter hacks (or bodges)
- Kind of surprised team EF wasn’t riding the disc brake version of the CannondaleSlice
- A few custom aerobar extensions which look very slick
- Are more teams riding with SRAM this year? Or does it just appear that way since AXS really sticks out
- lookingat a number of the bikes it doesn’t really seem like the drop (from saddles to pads) is super high. Perhaps more focus on being narrow?
- As mentioned in another thread, lots of trispokes
