I am in and goal is 60000m on 4-5 swims per week. It will be the most I have ever swam but based on last month should be doable.
I tanked, too. Blew off one swim, cut one short, but got two in. So let’s try this nonsense again…
One swim a week, average of 2,500 yards each time. Here we go…
I did the challenge in December, found it really motivating in wanting to get into the pool, hopefully joining again will be some more motivation. I am a numbers geek so TC’s spreadsheet with all the formulas was great. ![]()
Going to aim for at least 50,000 yards for March (3-4 swims per week). I hope to swim more than that… but my coach has me on a lots-of-running-biking plan, not so much swimming.

Mark - today was my first day of “spring” break and we got a foot of snow! I did an hour or so of homework, worked on my thesis, finished a movie (A 4 hr movie I’ve been working at - Storm of the Century - it’s SCARY!), snowshoed.
I should be able to swim tomorrow thank goodness.
We got a ton of snow today and didn’t think I was going to get a swim in. Luckily the Y opened up in the late afternoon, but only the warm pool was available for lap swim. The warm pool was 93 degrees (I am not exaggerating)! I felt like I was swimming in a hot tub/tub of pee pee.
Ok March is my month to get back in the pool. Considering I need to get some base work in for The 10km Ultraman swim I guess now is the time to get a move on.
Goal 2 or 3 swims per week with a total yardage of 5000 m. 20000 for the month. Not much, but the pool is an hour away in winter and time is at a premium.

OK, I’m in, another challenge newb. I really need the swim work. Just coming off being sick, but I have 28 days left in the month, let’s say I average 4 sessions per week and with my schedule, 45-75min per session should be doable … lets make it a quality 40,000m for the month.

I’m at 3 workouts so far, totalling 6900m…
Now if I can keep up this pace for the month I should eclipse last YEAR’S totals… that’s real sad, I know
