Tacx Neo 2T power accuracy

Hi everyone,

I got this new tacx neo 2t about 2 weeks ago. The first rides (not in erg mode, just for testing) has been just awesome. compared to my vortex smart, this is a different world. Nevertheless, soon I will start again with my regular structured training and therefore I will obviously ride almost all rides on erg mode. Today I just wanted to see how good the new neo 2t holds specific watts, but actually, I´m now a bit disappointed as I think my old vortex smart did a better job with this …

I have done just a quick video (15sek) to show how it goes up and below 315 watts … Do you think this is normal? I can´t remember exactly tbh but I think my vortex was more precise on this …

Can you let me know if this seems to be ok?

Best,
Chris

Normal. Zwift doesn’t do any power display smoothing in ERG (even with 3s power smoothing set). It’ll bounce around like that usually when connected via Bluetooth (4Hz iirc). Digging into the one Vortex dataset I have (from 2017!) it looks like those units smooth ERG.
