I love to mess with my bike so i am thinling of upgrading aero bars. I currently have Syntace streamliners and I have access to some new profile Carbon Strykes for 60 bucks or so. I am very use to the Systace although they are a touch long. I am also use to the aero bars being on the top of the bull horns. Any feelings about the two?
The profile design seem to be infinatly more adjustable
I’m a Syntace fan and have been riding the C2s since 1999. I haven’t found a good reason to switch from a set of bars that is light, comfortable and rock solid. I wouldn’t be switching from any bar made by Syntace to Profile since it would not be a performance upgrade. If the Syntace that you have are the wrong size and you can get Profile replacements that fit for a lot less money than a new Syntace bar then you might have a reason to make the switch.
Every Profile bar I ever tried ----- broke. The only change I ever wanted to make was from the Streamliners to the VT clip-ons. The VT clip-ons are awesome…I love 'em.
