Swimming Worlds

The most interesting match will be McIntosh vs Ledecky in the 800 free? Anything else that is must watch swimming?

Anything Summer swims.

There’s a chance she takes out the lone remaining women’s supersuit record in the 200 fly.

The men’s 100 free could be the deepest final ever when all is said and done.

I think Marchand has a special 2IM in store.

If she was not affected or has properly recovered from team USA food poisoning, obviously G Walsh is must see swimming.

Off-radar watch the men’s 100 breast, jam packed around that 59s mark. Could be an 8 lane hand touch finish, Adam Peaty ain’t waking through that door.

The 800 W Free was exciting. Ledecky still rules. McIntosh looked to run out of gas. She was kicking (I couldn’t tell 4 beat or 6) most of the race Ledecky looked like 2 beat most of the way.

Just saw? Dude that was a week ago.

I’m not sure what the general reaction to it was here, in Canada, or abroad.

Didn’t think it was the best look tbh.

But if she was an age grouper and said fuck after winning but missing a pb looks pretty bad.

Thorpe or Phelps never did that that I can recall

On the broadcast Rowdy just kind of went speechless leading to a “and, uhh…, she is not happy”. I think this is one of those things you just brush off and hope it was in fact a learning experience. I like the sentiment, don’t like that she didn’t think about the fact there were literally 5 cameras on her and she’s old enough that she needs to think about that, for better or worse.

Another post race that was hard to watch imo was milak in Tokyo 200. He was so devastated and he always tries to nose breathe to make it look like he is not tired. He didn’t do a pb. In the 100 he came second and was ecstatic
