About 10:30. I use T2 = T1*(D2/D1)^1.06 for swimming, but you also have to add a few seconds in this case because you won’t get to dive off the blocks again for the 2nd 400.
depends on how tired you were feeling after the 400/what preceded it, and how good your endurance is. Three weeks ago in a meet I swam 4.54 in the 400, and then went 10.02 in the 800, splitting 5/5.02… but then two weeks later I swam 400/1500, and opened the 1500 in a 4.54, and finished in 18.47, 400 went 4.44… for me this all depened on how I was feeling, and if i can start fast and relaxed then I’ll have a good race… however, assuming that 5.00 was all out, I would think in around 10.10-10.15… just depends on how you hold it togeather…
good luck
In other words you added 30 seconds to 2*5:00 and then through in some formula you stole from a science book
.
I’m a bit worried though, because during today’s workout I felt like CRAP. I was heavy and what felt like 1:16 per 100m effort only yielded 1:22 or so during a set.
Is it still possible for me to swim well on friday?
Here on the east coast, ITS MONDAY.
Today should have no bearing on Friday.
ya man… when i’m in hard training my workouts vary soo much… one day i can do a set 15200’s on 2.45, holding 2.30’s, and feel nice and aerobic, and then the next day have a lactate set of 44*200 on 30 sec rest per/200 and be going what feels like all out and only go 2.35’s… don’t hammer the workout before the 800 and you should be fine
