Swimming: switching from yards to meter pool

so i just moved and have started back swimming (after a lengthy break) at a local fitness center. on my first swim, i decided to just time one of my 100’s just to see how slow i was swimming. i was a little shocked at how slow it was! come to find out, it’s actually a 25 meter pool and not 25 yards which is what i’ve always swam in. my question is, if i’m used to doing send off’s on times like 1:20, 1:30, etc., are there equivalent ‘standard’ send off times people use for metered pools?

thanks

100 meters is 109.4 yards. If it’s SCM then I would multiply my SCY times by 1.1 to get my SCM times. LCM would be a few more seconds.

Add 5 secords per 50/10 seconds per 100 and you roughtly get it right.

I did the same thing when we moved over here, and it probably took me three weeks to discover the meters thing and that I didn’t suck quite as badly as I thought I did.

I use this an I find it works great.

10% longer for meters. not exact but makes the math easier.
