Swimming Pools in Plano, TX

Any advice on pools in Plano, TX close to Legacy Dr? I have a friend spending a lot of time there for work that is looking for a pool.

Lifetime Fitness at Legacy/Preston or there is a YMCA off of Tennyson just east of the Tollway.

I grew up in Plano. Legacy drive encompasses a pretty large stretch of road. Which part of Legacy are we talking about?

Hmmm… I was trying to think of Parks and Rec pools that might be close, but can’t think of any. I know there’s a big natatorium (Loew’s, I think is the name… or was) that is due south off the Dallas North Tollway in Richardson, but that’s not all that close (probably 6-7 miles or so). Looks like the Lifetime fitness or another health club might be the ticket.

There also is (or was) an outdoor 50 meter pool at Jack Carter Park, which is between Independence Pkwy and Custer Rd (which run N/S), and Legacy and Spring Creek (E/W). It’s also not real close, but not TOO far. Depends on when your friend would want to swim. I used to have my swim practices there when I swimming for the City of Plano Swimmers w-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-y back in the day.

There is also a YCMA pool near Legacy and a very nice pool, Oak Point, Spring Creek & Jupiter just east of 45/75, 50M, cheap daily and also masters program, Plano Wetcats, 5:30 AM and 11:30 AM.
