Swimfan: Sorry, I gotta ask

I presume the enigmatic swimfan, the poster we all love to hate (and hates us all in return), got his/her moniker from the 2002 movie, *Swimfan *that cast Erika Christensen as a psychotic stalker of a popular high school swimmer.

Swimfan, I gotta know, is this you?

I love this movie, hence my love for the infamous ST swimfan!

Ya’ know, that is pretty funny as I was thinking the same thing - creepy movie. Speaking of, I’m sure you are as excited as I am about the new Bond film/Bond!

.

I knew it.

Erika Christensen is stupid amounts of hot and if swimfan was actually her, I would gladly pay her way into any event of her shoosing…with that said tho. I am sure she has the money to pay for her and my way.

OK, so I watched the beginning of The World is Not Enough again the other night, and frankly that is the best opening of any Bond. That opening made me convinced that Brosnan was 1A to Connery’s 1. And the more I thought about it, the more I became convinced the new Bond will be Timothy Dalton Jr. He looks more like a Ah-nuld movie villian than Bond. I just don’t see it.

Well, you and I have similar views then (but I like the beginning of Godeneye a lot too). I was not happy when I first learned that Brosnan was going to be the new Bond (but VERY happy to loose Moore). But, it turns out that he was very good.

Actually, I didn’t mind Dalton as Bond, he was just in 2 of the worse movies! Actually, the Living Daylights was OK, but License to Kill was absolutely horrible (even if Connery was in it). He was more like Ian Flemming’s “book” version of Bond (i.e. Scar on his face, killer, etc.) and not the slapstick interpretation of the suave Roger Moore.

We shall see soon enough. Actually, I think he looks a little like George Lazenby.

Guys, I love Bond, but we’re talking about swimfan here…

give it up tom, nobody is interested in me.

As of this post 372 people are My Dear…

Roger Moore at first wasn’t bad. Live and Let Die was great, and I liked MWTGG and Spy Who Loved Me too. But then it went downhill. Of course, Connery had his clunkers, Thunderball was terrible as was let’s turn you into a ninja in 4 days, otherwise known as You Only Live Twice.

After Goldeneye, I thought Brosnan was too soft, and I thought the Tomorrow Never Dies wasn’t up to snuff. But the hard edge he showed in the beginning of World changed my mind.

Did you know that Fleming wrote Casino Royale while on vacation at his Jamacian estate, called Goldeneye?

because people like drama! They wonder what kind of ass kissing you posted  (sorry for the harsh words!)

i can put a fake title and make a 1000 post in couple of hours  But it doesn’t mean they are interested, for me, only if they respond (good or bad) that matters.

True dat.

Did you know that Fleming wrote Casino Royale while on vacation at his Jamacian estate, called Goldeneye?

Yup - of course! What true Bond afficionado wouldn’t know that

And we all know what the title “The World is Not Enough” means, right?

Sorry to hijaak Tom - in a little Bond withdrawl lately and hard to find other like minded nuts around (and I’m a little slow at work today) ;0

I’ve been a part of that 372 twice!

yeah, I make sarcastic and bitter comments but if you look at the rest I have some like 2-3% serious replies as well

I am not going to post anything sarcastic if a guy asks there is a clicking sound comes from his BB. If I know anything about it, i will if not i won’t reply.

But there are hundreds of stupid posts that i can’t help myself replying. there are 100 titles about water temps, as i said before we can spend all the time discussing wheather we are going wetsuit swim or not until the race but it is not going to make any difference!

And I love the ‘critic my position’ questions… They cry for a humiliating comment!

my most recent favorite is the bee in the helmet question.

No I don’t. And I must confess I only knew the Goldeneye thing because I went to wilkpedia because I was drawing a blank on the name of Tomorrow Never Dies. I grew up watching Bond, and would always see the new ones on opening day, but Dalton ran me off and I am not as excited anymore. I still don’t think I have seen Die Another Day all the way through. But I made sure I saw the Halle beach scene.

Oh, and I finally became won over by Judi Dench as M too. She was a heck of a casting pick. It’s like Margaret Thatcher is running the UK again.
