Just want to see if anyone felt it was worth the $50?
The Mr. Smooth Console app thing is amazing and the preview of the DVD looks great. Sadly with many things the preview is all that is good. What I don’t want is a video that only shows me clips of freaks of nature like Grant Hackett and the like…I can watch youtube all day. Wondering if they go into explicit detail on technique, muscles I should be feeling/trying to activate and the like?
Thanks all
I just got it this week and LOVE IT. Definitely a lot of great information.
This is the DVD I really was looking for a few months ago when I picked up the Fundamentals DVD.
The differences?
-
This is close to two hours long… not 30 minutes. It is packed with drills, different swimmers with slightly different styles, but all effective strokes
-
Very well shot - gives you multiple angles of the swimmers (top/side/bottom)
-
Lots of discussion on the dos and don’ts and not a lot of filler
I have not got to the other info on the DVD as well but it also is packed with PDFs, and other material that goes along with the video content.
$50 is a lot for the DVD, but I was extremely happy with the content, there is still a ton to absorb, and unlike that other $50 DVD I bought this year, after watching, did not think to myself “That’s it???” and immediate send a request for a refund.
Oh… What I really want to add is all that being said, you don’t want to buy the Swim Smooth Catch Masterclass DVD…
No… You don’t… I have another DVD I will sell you for $10. Seriously… And if you don’t like the content, you can use it as a fancy coaster for your coffee table which is what I probably will do.
Holy smokes. What I took away from the first run through fixed so many things…at the opposite end of the spectrum where I thought the problem was. Best day I have had in the pool in months! $50 for this makes me feel like I stole something.
Is the DVD that good? I need all the help I can get in the swim, but $50 for a DVD is stretch. Any other users out there?
