I seem to have discovered that the same tricks that I use for energy before/during biking and running just don’t work for swimming. I tend to prefer biking and running on a near-empty stomach, and usually pop in a gu or something a little before I head out.
Maybe it’s just my body getting used to the horizontal position that swimming is, but I’ve already determined that gu doesn’t mix well with swimming (for me).
Anyone got ideas of stuff I could experiment with in the pool? How do you keep fuelled for swimming, without uncomfortable “digestive issues?”
