Swim goggles lens color for indoor lap swimming

i know it comes down to personal preference, but would like some recommendations. thanks.

Clear!

Clear Swedes! Or mirrored if you need to keep your game face.

Clear but not a big deal. Not much to see in my pool anyway.

The only thing I care about is that the tint is light enough that I can still see.

Anything but clear! Typically used a chromatic, smoke, or even blue. One day used a clear pair, couldn’t believe the crap (hope it really wasn’t) floating in the water that I could now see, went back to smoke.

Clear, unless you have an attractive lane mate and do not want them to know you are not looking at their eyes when you talk to them.

The pool I swim in has large windows. The late afternoon sun is blinding. I wear tinted goggles when I swim in the afternoon.

Entirely depends on which cozzie I’m wearing.

How can you possibly be a serious triathete unless your togs, cap & goggles are all color co-ordinated?

tinted for me too. Lots of windows and sun coming in my pool.

good point on the sun sneaking in the windows during some afternoon swims.

clear, blue, or amber will likely be the best three choices for you. Those lenses are all good inside and out in most conditions (clear not so great in sunny conditions).

How about polarized? Im assuming this feature is only helpful for outdoor swimming. But are there any advantages for indoor lap swimming? Or should polarization be avoided indoors? Thanks.

As far as I know, a polarized lens is intended to reduce glare.

If there is a lot of glare in your pool, I suppose that it could be beneficial, but it’s not natural light that you are blocking.

Basically, if the lens works for you, then it should be fine. There is no reason to not use a particular lens, unless it makes it hard to see.

The lenses I mentioned above are just the “best” lenses for indoor pool swimming typically. A mirror lens can be thrown in there as well, but certainly isn’t necessary. I think that is more of a cool factor.

I wear a smoked lens 100% of the time. Our smoke lenses are good inside, and outside, in the pool and open water (for me). *I do live in an area that I don’t swim inside really at all.

**RED **everyone knows its the fastest colour

i know it comes down to personal preference, but would like some recommendations. thanks.

Whatever is cheap, so basically any color that Swedish goggles or socket rockets come in. If you can wear them, they’re great because you can get a pair for next to nothing. Somehow, spending $20+ on goggles has been the norm, but there are comfortable goggles to be had for under $8 if you’re willing to give them a try.

Mirrored
.

mirrored for indoor swimming?

I always opt for blue. It gives the illusion of swimming in clean, clear water (even after the pee).

Red indoors is like HD vision. I guess amber can also be similar. Swedish goggles.
