I’ve posted this on most of the sites…I have a swim flume, going do be doing my swim workouts in it. So far Ive been creative by going for one minute, or two minutes etc…Does anybody else do workouts in a swim flume (Infinite Pool. etc…) can anybody give me a few ideas? My main distance is the Ironman distance…
don’t have a pool here are some ideas:
breathing exercises:
- breath 1, then 2, then 3, 4,5,6,7,8,9,10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2, then 1.
- breath 4min every 2, 3min every 3, 2min every 4, 1min 5
- endless other combinations
swim/kick:
- swim 5min, kick 1min / swim 10min, kick 2min / swim 15min, kick3min / and back.
- other combinations.
you could also buy a finis snorkel that allows you to swim without having to rotate to your sides for breathing. This way you can concentrate on your stroke.
or breathing for orientation:
- try to get into your own rhytm. For example, I like to breath ever 2x every 4 on the right, then 1x or 2x every 2 on the front to see where I have to go. Practice this and it will be easier in a race.
