Mary got me to swim straight, which is a major accomplishment.
North instead of west, I’d recommend Craig Strong from precision multisport. I’m not associated with them, and I’m a decent swimmer to begin with and didn’t want to change anything that wasn’t broken, but he fine-tuned my technique just a bit and it helped alot.
David Fix at Endure It in Naperville. He has been involved in swimming all his life and was an all American swimmer at Arizona State University. Can anyone recommend someone who would take at look at my swimming form in the western suburbs of Chicago?
I’m bumping this almost decade-old thread because I’m looking for a Chicago-area swim coach that can help me improve my technique. I’m in the city on the northside, not the burbs, but am willing to travel a bit for the right person.
Unfortunately, the Chicago Masters swim club just doesn’t work with my schedule. Chicago Blue Dolphins is close to me, but I’m not a huge fan of the Total Immersion approach that it uses.
I appreciate any recommendations.
