I was up in the local drug store and the muscle boy behind the counter was telling me that everyone doing endurance sport is now using Testosterone supplements to assist in endurance and stamina.
But of my little training group of 12 that I ride with of a weekend none of them do.
Anyone on here want to fess up and tel me why and if it’s working for them?
The is a very large article in last month’s Men’s journal on TEstosterone use and sports performance. i think, though, the article is focusing on maintaining as you get older, nor gaining.
Don’t waste your money. Only thing actually works is HGH from your doctor that is in injection form. Anything sold OTC as an oral form is waste of money.
Bad thing is HGH is highly popular due to some effects such as aging slowing process, muscle growth and fat loss. It’s not covered in insurance so very expensive sad thing is it is beingy abused.
Side effects of HGH: fluid retention, high blood pressure, bone and cartilage growth, joint swelling and paint, insulin resistance, irregular heart beats, lazy pituitary glands, some cancers…
That is correct. Also the most effective way to burn fat.
In the market today what they sell as “Testastorone Booster” is basicly tribulus based stacks.
if you do a research on tribulus on google you’ll see no scientific results to prove that. it’s just waste of money.
Yes, you can buy testosterone and other such supplements in your local health store and although these may not be as potent as Adrogel testosterone cream or patches, these oral supplements will boost your testosterone levels and potentially assist in your recovery potential. HOWEVER, it is very important to always be cautious about using testosterone or any of those supplements in any form. They are banned not only because they provide unfair advantage to some but also because they are inherently very dangerous as they can cause more sickness to normal people.
Testosterone supplements are normally prescribed to older people who need them as part of their daily activities. Without testosterone these octogenarians cannot function normally and would be bedridden or in a wheelchair. However, patients taking these are under STRICT medical supervision. Their physicians know their family history and particularly with regard to prostate cancer and liver disease. Testosterone supplements can cause both types of cancers for predisposed people. In addition, it can shrink testicles and can alter personalities. It can boost or suppress sexual appetites and can cause heart failure if not heart disease. It is also known to cause baldness in men.
Why do I know? Because I thought about it and studied it and asked doctors about it. My father, brother, and two sisters are physicians (cardiologists, geriatrician, and internists) and I sat down with them individually and I asked them about taking testosterone to improve my athletic abilities. They all STRONGLY warned me not to mess around with that stuff. The risks far outweigh the benefits. As an age grouper they said the gain I get from being stronger in my races and getting better results are nothing compared to the risks that come: getting prostrate cancer, liver cancer or heart disease; shrinking my balls and losing my sexual libido. Worse even - losing my hair and becoming BALD.

Don’t take it for performance. It’s banned. Only take it if you have a condition in which the doctors think it is needed. Still get a second option. Weight the risks and don’t take it as over the counter. Only as the doctor prescribes under their supervison monitoring blood at all times.
Plus the over the counter supplements are complete scams that won’t do anything.
