Anyone use superfeet insoles for their cycling shoes? My insoles are wearing out and was thinking of getting a pair. I’ve had good luck with the green ones for my running shoes but they seem too bulky for a cycling shoe. Looking at the selection, it looks like either the yellow or black would be good. Anyone with any experience? Also open to suggestions for other brands.
I have the blue ones in my specialized trivent experts. I love them. Supportive and they don’t feel like plastic on my feet like some other insoles tend to do.
I use yellow ones in my Specialized Trivents. They are a good fit and don’t take up a lot of room in your shoes like most orthotics. They also have holes in the liner around the ball of your feet to let water drain.
I use blue in running shoes and black in all my Sidi bike shoes. Certainly much better than the paper thin insole Sidi shoes come with.
How long did it take you to get used to them? I just picked up a pair of Greens and I feel like I’m falling off the front of my shoes, like standing on a slope.
Just walking around the house I can feel a little discomfort on the front outside edge of my foot (pinky toe corner…)
I use Green in my cycling shoes, the yellows are taller and mess with my fit too much. That would be fit in the shoe AND bike fit. I love them , helps controle mt knee from diving towards TT

I think they’re going back…
I put them in my runners and felt fine right from the get go. To be honest I barely noticed them. I did eventually have to get runners a half size bigger as they lifted my feet a bit too high and I was getting rubbing issues. If you’re struggling with the fit maybe try a different kind? Aren’t green and orange the most ‘extreme’ in terms of support?
I don’t like the green ones personally. They aren’t large enough for my size 13 shoe and there is always a small gap on the end/side I don’t like. I actually buy the blues ones, tear the insole off the blue plastic support and put the blue plastic support under the original insoles that came with the shoes. There is always some residual glue on the blue plastic which bonds to the actual shoes insole, giving a perfect fit and support.
as someone else stated, the black ones have a low stack height and are good for cycling shoes.
I’m battling a case of plantar fasciitis right now. My podiatrist recommended getting Superfeet or something similar. I got some green Superfeet and also some PowerStep brand, ProTech model. The PowerStep actually work better for me. Used them for a 60-mile ride this weekend and had no discomfort at all. They are cheaper than Superfeet, too, at least on Amazon, so that’s a nice bonus.
I know you were only asking mainly about Superfeet but thought it might be useful for other options. Good luck.
edit: I also got a pair of Spenco RX. I don’t like them quite as much as the other two but they are moldable, so that’s a nice option. They are quite affordable as well.
Has anyone heard of this Artificial Cartilage Foam? I have just watched a youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v06rjQb3-xw that compares it with some of the other leading insoles, and this one clearly wins the race there. I read about it online, and it seems like a new foam based on Nano technology that can absorb impact energy like charm and protect body from any shocks. I have ordered these from their online web store at www.artilage.com, and hopefully they turn out to be as they promised.
