Superbikes needed for Wind tunnel testing in the Scottsdale, AZ area

Dear ST

I am seeking to borrow the following 3 bikes for wind tunnel testing. I am only able to run bike only test as the bike I am testing is a non ride able prototype of the new Culprit Legend on Oct 15-16 at Faster wind tunnel in Scottsdale, AZ

56 Cervelo P5-6
56 Felt IA
L Trek Speed concept di2 build

All bikes need to be build with Di2. Will be using the same set of race wheels for testing, so only seeking bike only.

Also, anyone with 58 cm Aero road bikes , I am planning to re test my updated Croz Blade bike against some competitors.

Bikes will be tested at Faster wind tunnel. (I am aware of the ST communities views on this tunnel. I have my reasons for choosing it, can explain in a PM)

Please let me know if you have a bike I am seeking and what you ask in exchange for using it.

Thanks

Joshua Colp

Josh, I can put you in touch with the presidents of both ONE Multisport and Tri-Scottsdale. Eye wen the two clubs you can find plenty of those bikes.

That would be great.

Thank you

Joshua

Shoot me a PM, I have some ideas for you.

That would be great.

Thank you

-What is the knock on this wind tunnel?

Accuracy. The P5 vs Ventum has drag data that is different than other tunnels.

Do people still actually do wind tunnel tests on bikes?

After every brand claiming to be the best, one building their own wind tunnel to “prove” it, I would think this sales approach has trended.

It’s a data hungry world out there. I wouldn’t buy a bike without tunnel data or doing my own tunnel testing.

But on the other hand I can’t tell you the number of super bikes that have poor fits renedering them on par with the old Kuota’s.

I think doing a fit + testing at the tunnel is the wave of the future. I can dial in someone to be as comfy as any retul fitter and waaaaaaaay more aero doing that.

EDIT: here’s another way of thinking about it. What the difference between a Kestrel and P5? Without tunnel data the dumbass at the bike shop will think they are =. But they are many, many, many, many football fields apart…over 40k

I see what you did there
