Sunglass recs

Any recs on some moderately priced sunglasses…say $50-$80? Lens quality is paramount.

in that price range - Tifosi
.

x2.

I just bought a pair as a backup for a misplaced set of Oakleys and I think that they’re amazing!!

I’ve been tickled pink with my Tifosi Slips, photochromatic lenses, picked them up for $45
.

I like the Tifosi Vogels - around $45 I think.

eBay, look for oakley m frames. They go for pretty cheap (I got mine for just over $80) because people with military deals on them resell them. Top notch lens quality, and you even get two lenses (black and clear).

Optic Nerve are VERY good…got two pairs this year and very impressed with optics.

Tifosi Slip with the multi-lens. You get the frame, 4 lenses, silk bag, and a hard case.
Usually under $50. Only problems with these is:
The lenses can break in the middle if you don’t handle them carefully when changing them.
The earpieces tend to break down and melt after a while.
The good news is that Tifosi will replace the earpieces for $5.
Tifosi also will replace a broken, cracked, scratched, etc. lens for
a small processing fee. And I think it’s a lifetime replacement guarantee.
I’m on my 2nd pair.

There are a couple Oakleys in that range, the fives and fives squared:

Bolle has a lot of nice options:

and finally, under armour has some nice ones, including some ‘radar path’ clones

Check out Native Eyewear. Best polarized sunglasses I’ve ever used. I’ve had the same pair that I used year after year ocean lifeguarding.
Best part is that they have a lifetime warranty. Sit on them? They replace them. Bike crash? They replace them.

Might be just out of your $$ range, though. I’d say they’re worth it.

native has got a few in that range, just sort low-high to see em:

Any discount codes for frames direct for STers?

I recommend Zeal. Have been using their RX glasses for years now and their customer service is awesome. And per your post, their non-RX glasses are very reasonably priced.

not on Oakleys but hit me with a pm and I’ll check in the morning if we have any coupon codes better than the ones advertised here: http://www.framesdirect.com/

Anybody have any thoughts about prescription lenses?
