Suggest low cost training road wheels disc brakes

EDIT

training wheels not race

I already have Premier race wheels on order

Wheel suggestions

Probably won’t put more than 1000 miles a year

Just bought a bike needing disc wheels

Vast majority of riding is in on trainer or in races

Any suggestions?

Black Friday sale wheels a bonus

FLO 64 AS front and 77 AS rear would be a great combo for training and racing. I think Black Friday is over but they’re still reasonably priced at MSRP ($1,498 for both) and offer free shipping.

Our Black Friday sale (Discount code: STBFPB) is still going. Our 45 mm wheel set would be a great choice.

Sorry I just edited my post

Hunt has their sale through Dec 4, and you can get a reasonably light alloy wheelset for ~ $400 I think

Light bicycle may still have their sale on. It would probably be a bit more expensive, but you can get something lighter and wider internally, which can be nice, and you can get them without spoke holes meaning you’ll never have to mess with tubeless tape

I got a set of the Roval Terra C wheels from Excel Sports on sale for $750 and they have been solid so far (4 months). They are technically gravel wheels, but I run 32 mm road tires on mine because we have terrible roads where I live. It’s the same carbon, tubeless ready rim as the upper-level Roval wheelsets but with DT Swiss 370 hubs. 1600 grams, 25 mm internal width. Hard to beat that kind of value.

Mavic Aksium or Shimano RS370
.

Vision has some fairly inexpensive wheels that seem to work well enough:
$275: https://www.backcountry.com/b/vision-team-35-disc-wheelset-tubeless
$290: https://www.randombikeparts.com/products/vision-trimax-30-disc-wheelset-700c-12x100-142mm-center-lock-shimano-11-spd-new

I have the TriMax 30 and no issues so far.
