Stupid question...IM DVD Music (HOLY CRAP, I FOUND IT!)

Can anyone tell me where to find the music that’s on the 1999 IM video? I can’t find it listed anywhere online. Thanks.

So, I just got my iPhone, had no clue how to use it at all, at least the apps part. So clueless that I typed in “Shabaz” to search for the “Shazam” app. Nice.

Shazam DOES work, at least it did for me. Songs I wanted are, in order below:

  • matthaus Passion, J.S. Bach (believe it was in Casino)
  • P.C.H., by Tautara
  • Ending Credits from Shakespeare in Love (I believe Warbeck is the composer, not 100% sure)

So, I’m pretty much in awe of this thing now.

Mike, how many minutes into the broadcast or what scene?

Graham,

  1. the first scene, classical/opera. Also is played at a “commercial” break.
  2. transition music
  3. music when folks are finishing

There might be more, but those are the ones that stick out most right now.

Is the video online anywhere? Being a music teacher if I hear it I’d probably have a good idea/clue as to what it is.

Can you whistle it and record it?

(only the long timers will get that one)

If you have an iphone or some other device that can run shazam you would no longer have these kind of problems.

Otherwise I second the whistling.

I do have an iPhone, but I want to have the entire song, no Al Trautwig voice over. But I don’t know what Shazam is, so I’ll look into it.

Sax (I think), it is online, but only as a torrent…at least that I can find.

And Record, did you get my whistling PM?

I tried to find it but couldn’t. Wouldn’t mind seeing it even if it’s not just to identify the music. Give me a link if you do find it again.

Just read what Shazam is, and I thought it was something else. I’ll download it tonight and see if it works. If/When it does, I’ll update everyone because I know you all are very very interested.

Thanks Sax, for your help. IMO, the '99 IM might be the best of the NBC videos. The feature on the Hoyts. I sob like a 6 year old girl every time I watch it. if you want me to get you a link to the torrent, you can email me at mpalios@gmail.com. I can send it to you.

What terms/criteria did you search with? I’ve been trying to find the soundtrack for the '04 Kona broadcast (mainly the theme played at the end, where they show 20 or 30 random people crossing the finish–awesome stuff) and haven’t had any luck. I think someone actually mentioned here on 'twitch, but I can’t find the thread.
