I’m in contact with Stryd tech support on this issue but wanted to know if anyone else experienced this problem. During runs I started using BT EarPods (a few varieties) with my MP3 player and also with my iPhone. Using the Stryd when using plugged in earphones never caused any problems, but with BT the pod keeps disconnecting/reconnecting and after about 25 minutes just drops completely. Wondering if this is common or if my foot pod is defective?
I have the Stryd v2 and use my BT headphones for over a year without any incident from either device.
Not sure what watch you are using but I assume you have a watch to be able to see the disconnect/reconnect issue? If so, and it’s a Garmin, they specifically state to use the foot pod as an ANT+ connection. Further, they also spell out to connect the BT connection and then disable it. Ive been running with a STRYD for some time now and never an issue and bang on reliable and accurate.
