Do you belive that we are now or nearly in that struggle?

Fear is one thing, but if you believe that he believes what he says, or if his audience believes it, then why isn’t he asking anything more of our country than to keep buying stuff? Wouldn’t he be encouraging an expansion of our military to fend off the threat?
for those who love a struggle of grandeur on a big scale - one can always find it. In the case of civilization - I’d say that OJ’s “If I did it” is a better indicator.

That assumes that a "struggle of civilizations requires a military solution instead of a cultural or economic one.
I guess that depends on what the muslim extremists do.
