Storck bikes

I really like the look of these bikes, particularly their aluminium Scenario model. I’d be interested to hear opinions from anyone who has one or has had a ride on one. What is the general repuation of Storck as a framebuilder?

storck have a fanatastic reputation regarding their bikes, especially in regards to value for money. I have never seen a negative review on anything they do, so I would suggest you’ll be sweet as getting one.

If you go to the Posh Bikes website, I think they have links or pdf’s of reviews of various Storck models from some of the british cycling mags (who tend to give you a real review, if it is crap, they’ll say so!!)
.

it is German engineering - how bad can it be
.

Thanks, I checked out the reviews and they’re impressive. Looks like they’re a very high quality product.

They are very nice bikes, from what I can gather. I’ve only ever seen one in person, and it was really well finished, nice paint, good looking welds, etc. They aren’t the lightest, but they are well designed and manufactured, they are very strong according to the eFBE fatigue tests, and they ride well according to the reviews.

If I needed a new bike they would be on my really short list.

I have a Storck CD1.0…i bought the frame and forks…Stilletto Aero…as came standard with the frame and forks purchase. I bought it direct from a German online shop and it cost me around 1,700 euros incl. shipping…best bike i have ever had…I bought it early 2006…

mine doesnt look like this but I have ZIPP 404’s on it and Dura Ace crankset with Rotor elliptical chainsets…great bike…shame im such a shit rider! hahahahhahah

Google it and read reviews. I dont have any specific feedback on the Al. However, I would imagine that you can find a carbon frame/fork for not too much more. The C1.1 model is an oldie but a goodie and is very reasonable in price. The Storck line of carbon bikes is top notch. I would highly recommend them. I love my Scenario C1.1, and there is no bike on the market that even makes me think of trading up. That is why I got it, I knew that I would ride it until it snapped in two. I bought my frame used from a pro a few years ago and it probably has 10000 miles on it currently. Rides like a dream. The best way to get them is off of ebay or by calling/emailing German shops directly.

I also have a pdf review of the C1.1 from where it won the Cycling Plus magazine bike of the year award. If you want it, PM me and I can email it to you.

Bought mine from…

Much cheaper than Posh Bikes in the UK.
