Yesterday I was running after my child and I stepped on pointy limp of a small tree that was cut down. It hurt pretty bad. I was okay to walk on it afterwards but I could definitely tell my foot didn’t like it. This AM I noticed that it was bruised about the size of quarter right where I stepped on it. It hurts a little to walk on it. I decided to run on it but I could definetly feel it running. It didn’t hurt too bad but more annoying if anything. Anyway to speed up the healing? How long do these bruised linger?
That’s the kind of thing that should heal faster by remaining active- as long as you don’t apply direct pressure that causes further injury.
Wow
.
Would it be possible to cut out the effected area on a insole to alleviate pressure on the contusion?
Depends on how old you are.
Take aspirin. It’ll thin the blood and ease the break up of the bruise.
If your running gait changes to compensate that could cause other problems. Try to run as normal as possible.

The bruise is on the middle of ball of the foot. It didn’t affect my gait running but my foot tensed up.
What about ice?
Sure. Why not.
