Anyone that did the Steelhead 70.3 race this past weekend already knows what a fabulous race this is in Southwestern Michigan.
Anyone not familiar with the race: it is definitely worth considering for next year. Lots of Pro’s, great support, and lots of competition on a great course. This was my first Steelhead and I will be back next year. Mickey Rzymek of Cleveland, the crew from 70.3, and the Female (did not catch her name) head official(?) were more than helpful to athletes with minor problems. The race takes place in beautiful Jean Klock Park (great beach for the family or just to relax). The surrounding community of St. Joseph is another close city with lots of interesting areas to explore.
Then it’s a good thing you wern’t there last year.

I know the race turned into a long course DU. That’s all part of racing.
I had the same thing happen the following week in Cleveland.
