Steel oats prep and recipes

I put 3 cups of water in a pot on the stove and wait for it to boil. Then add 1C of oats, turn the heat down and simmer with the lid on for 30min. After 30min I remove the lid add 270ml of milk, 100g of raisins and simmer with the lid off for another 12min.

This makes 3 servings. I eat one and put two in the fridge to be eaten on subsequent days. I just microwave them to reheat.

If you’re time crunched in the morning you could just make a batch in the evening.

Sometimes I use apple, cinnamon and brown sugar instead of raisins.
