New trailer dropped yesterday. I think it looks fantastic.
Yep, got a Star Wars jolt last night when I saw this. Was disappointed the release was pushed to 9/21 but looks like there will be 3 episodes released to kick it off.
Ok. I am pumped for this. BUT rogue one is one of the greatest movies given it’s constraints. To some degree I would just like to keep it as it is.
Just finished the first three episodes. The costumes/set/visuals have the feel of the original trilogy. Acting is really good across the board and story is intriguing as well. So far I think this gives The Mandalorian a run for it’s money as the best Star Wars (and Disney+) show.
This seems like the most appropriate thread for this but I watched the new Thor last week and man it was just BAD. Which is a shame considering the previous entry was so enjoyable.
I will watch Andor; have really enjoyed Mandalorian but the Boba Fett series was unwatchable to me, I never made it past somewhere in episode 2.
We watched ep. 1 last night. So far so good, they have me hook, line, and sinker.

Agreed on Thor. I was Ragnarok was one of my favorite entries in the MCU and Love and Thunder was a big drop off from that. Glad I waited for Disney+ instead of watching it on the theater.
Book of Boba Fett was a big disappointment for me. Poor casting and acting, poor story writing. A lot of goofy things in that show - but not in the good goofy type of way. It was a character assassination of Fett. It’s just a shame as there were so many great ways they could have gone about that series. Andor is a million times better. Liking it way more than the Obi-Wan series so far as well.

It’ll keep getting better. It was probably good I watched the 3rd episode on the trainer, the intensity of some of the scenes definitely got my heart rate and cadence up
I can see why they dropped Episodes 1-3 together
Episode 1, Cassian is in a tight spot
Episode 2, here’s some backstory - to explain some things
Episode 3, now we’re cookin’!!!
We’re caught up. Three episodes in and I’m almost ready to forgive the Boba Fett mess.
GOT some interesting cameos this week
.
And without feeling forced. As a Big fan of KOTOR I liked the little line about the Rakatan invasion
Just finished episode 9. Continuing to really dig this show, absolutely top notch in so many ways.
Can’t wait till next week as it appears things are starting to ramp back up again
We’ve put Andor on our Saturday TV list so I’m a few days behind. For my money, Andor is the best live action Disney series so far.
It is very good.
I’m going to wait until it ends before ranking it.
It was good.
The end credits scene was 😵 but also “I kinda figured” 😉
.
Watched episode 12 last night. So good.
The funeral scene was amazing. The music, the speech by Maarva, the way they built up the tension, and the ensuing fight. Small things like how Dedra got knocked around and went into full panic were so well done (the acting as well as the way it was shot).
I hope future Star Wars projects look to this one how to make a fantastic show. Focus on good story telling. Don’t try to cram in a bunch of cameos and make connections to other characters for the sake of fan service. Characters don’t have to have some prior background or connection to one’s we have already seen.
One thing I thought was kind of interesting is the actress who played Mon Mothma had actually been hired and shot some scenes (which ended up being) for Episode III. She played her role fantastically. Much better than a bunch of actors from the prequels. Though it helps that she was given good dialogue

Yeah, you knew it was coming but still a great addition. Shows that you don’t always need a plot twist or surprise to make things cool
“So that’s where those would go”
