looking for places to swim near University Park? Does Washington University have open lap swim hours? Can’t find much information. A lot of the pools in the area are private.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Best bet is probably Center of Clayton or with the Clayton Masters program that swims there.

I think most swimming will be indoors soon, if not already.
Outdoor 50m there is chance at Clayton Shaw Park or the Maplewood Outdoor Aqautic Center. I think that anyone can get in there for a daily fee and they might be open through labor day.
Center of Clayton has a daily fee of 10 bucks and it is probably the nicest pool in the area. I don’t believe you can use Maplewood’s pool as a non-resident. Bally’s is in Clayton, so you might think about registering for a free week.
I know you don’t have a ton of options, but the last time I was there the Center of Clayton kept there lap pool at 82 degrees. That is too warm to me. Granted that was 3 years ago, so maybe it has changed.
I was there back In August for some racing and my wife found that you can swim at the university for $4-6. She found the info online.
Saint Louis Community College Forest park has a pool in their gymnasium. I know the SLU-hS swim team use that as their practice facility. Its 30/semester (~3 months.). There is also a Master’s swim class being offered there through the College. I guess you could go that route. Otherwise, you’re stuck with the Clayton pools or YMCA pools.
