Is the sram red cassette really that loud I put one on my powertap and something has to be wrong it makes all kinds of popping rubbing sounds is that the way they sound? I mean U heard they were loud but this is aggrevating
Nope, mine is super quiet.
Popping sounds- not normal.
mine makes no noise at all. check your spokes. I had that sound once and a few of my spokes were getting loose
You didn’t put the spacer under the cassette. You may have damaged the spokes on your wheel because the cassette is rubbing there…
it only make the sound when I am in the center of the cassette I check the spoke nothing is rubbing

silly question, but is there any lateral play in the cassette?
No play with RED cassette on my Zipp Hubs. All my cassettes on Mavic hubs have play…with the correct spacer and good hub internals.
