Has some of yours tested SRAM R2C aero shifters? Is it true that they go back to the neutral position avoiding to bend your wrists? Any feedback(s)? Any drawback(s)?
Are they completely compatible with Shimano Ultegra 6700 rear derailleur or only compatible with SRAM rear derailleur? Said differently, can I just remove my Dura Ace shifters, install the SRAM R2C ones and keep the already installed Ultegra 6700 rear derailleur?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

I have the SRAM r2c and I run them with a SRAM red rear derailer and
Ultegra cassette. The SRAM r2c are only SRAM derailer compatible. The zipp r2c are either SRAM or shimano rear derailer compatible.
Love them, will never switch back.
I have the R2C shifter operating my rear derailleur, but couldn’t get the front to work despite trying it with several different SRAM and Shimano derailleurs and numerous calls to SRAM’s “customer support.” So I had to resort to a Shimano shifter for the front. After about 8 months now, the rear shifter is no longer crisp and precise and there’s getting to be a lot of play in it.
Zipp makes R2C for Sram or Shimano. Sram makes the mechanism for Zipp so they all share the same design. Zipp’s paddle is a little more ergonomic in my opinion.
I just noticed that there is another thread discussing about R2C Zip shifters http://forum.slowtwitch.com/...post=2730960;page=1.

I checked Zipp R2C Vuka shifters docs and there is nothing explaining how to make them compatible with SRAM or Shimano. Apparently, they are “simply compatible” with both rear derailleur brands (SRAM and Shimano) without additional settings. So, I don’t understand why the SRAM shifters would not be compatible with Shimano rear derailleur.
(edited: I made a mistake → my statements were false → there are 2 versions of the R2c Zipp Shifters)

Zipp makes two shifters. One for Sram and one for Shimano. They are not interchangeable.

Sorry. My mistake. Sorry. I checked with their spec but I haven’t noticed that in the shops there are 2 different versions. Sorry.

the only drawback i have encountered so far is that the palm of my hand gets pinched on the shift if I go more than 2 gears. Not a big deal, just a little annoying. I have both of the paddles pointed straight forward and yes they do return to that position. there is a ratcheting system that shifts to make this possible. There is also a little bit of a break in period. It took 4 or 5 rides and it shifted smoothly from there.
the drivetrain I have is all Sram so I cannot speak to the compatibility of Shimano/Sram together.
I pinched my palm and actually cut it with left.
I love my right shifter (little cog). But the left is still tight have oiled and have spent a decent amount of time breaking it in. Does not seem to want to loosen up. It is really hard to shift.
Don’t think I would purchase again.
I recently reviewed these shifters, and absolutely loved them:
